Wellington Airport
Wellington International Airport (WLG) is situated at the southern tip of the North Island in New Zealand's capital city of Wellington.

Of New Zealand's three major airports, Wellington Airport is located closest to the centre of the city it serves.
It is 6 km southeast of the city. In normal circumstances, there are shuttles, Airport Flyer buses and taxis to the centre. Alternatively, the Metlink Route 2 public bus departs from the Hobart Street bus stop. Exit from Door E and follow the signs (a 700 metre or 7-minute walk).
Car hire is available at the airport.
Wellington is nicknamed the "Windy City," for good reason, so aeroplane landings at Wellington Airport can be somewhat bumpy.
