The Gondwana Arboretum hosts ancient conifers, cycads and ferns, descendants of tree species that flourished millions of years ago. The Magnolia Garden is a must-see in winter and spring with its magnificent magnolias from East and Southeast Asia as well as a collection of New Zealand-bred varieties.
The Orchard is home to bananas, citrus, macadamias, pears, feijoas, figs, plums, persimmon and more.
The Native Forest section has nikau palm and tree fern groves and provides a safe environment for a variety of birds.
